THE WILD BUNCH LUNCH HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR WILDLIFE HOSPITAL
Some of the Gold Coast’s key business leaders and politicians, including Jan Stuckey and Christine Smith, recently got together at the Sanctuary to enjoy Lunch with the Wild Bunch and raised more than $14,000 for the Currumbin Community Wildlife Hospital.
MC for the day was the Hot Tomato Breakfast Show’s Flan who led the discussion on whether Green initiatives were still on the agenda for businesses during the current economic downturn.
Talking about their latest business initiatives were Terry Morris from Sirromet Wineries, which have just launched the new First Step carbon reduced wines and Peter Dirkx from Bendigo Bank, which offers Generation Green home loans and carbon offsets.
Chantel Dunbar from Travelling in Australia magazine also provided insights into tourism trends towards eco-friendly travel options and experiences in Australia and raised some thought provoking questions.
Auction items included Steve Parish limited edition prints, leisure activities and the chance to have Café Sanctuary’s Executive Chef Alan Jane entertain at home – which attracted some of the most competitive bidding on the day.
